Eating Disorder Treatment for Women

Looking at the View

Willa Wellness Center, located in beautiful Petaluma, California, in the heart of the San Francisco North Bay, provides compassionate, comprehensive treatment for women with eating disorders - addressing the psychological, nutritional, and medical aspects of care, creating an encouraging, hopeful, and informed recovery experience.

Treating adults and teens ages 16 and over, we intentionally keep our group size small in order to ensure the most intensive support possible, addressing all eating disorders (anorexia, bulimia, binge-eating, ARFID & OSFED) from a non-diet, evidence based and trauma-informed approach.

Levels of Care

Day Treatment
(Partial Hospitalization Program - PHP)

Comprehensive individual treatment and group therapy 5 days per week, Monday-Friday from 8:30am - 3:30pm. A Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP), or day treatment, is an intensive and highly structured program during the day that allows clients to return home in the evening. PHP at Willa Wellness Center offers a truly therapeutic environment where clients are able to learn and practice coping skills & recovery strategies during program hours, and then at home in the evening.

Each day consists of skills-based and process groups, as well as somatic & mind-body therapy groups in between supported meal times. All meals and snacks are provided - there is no need for clients to bring their own food.

Clients are seen weekly by their Primary Therapist, Registered Dietitian, Psychiatrist, Program Physician and Registered Nurse, providing substantial one-on-one support every week.

Meal support is an integral part of treatment, for both nutritional restoration and supporting reduction in eating disorder behaviors. We provide 2 meals and 1 snack each day, followed by extensive evening and weekend meal planning.

Intensive Outpatient Program
(IOP)

Designed to be a continuation of care after completion of PHP, our IOP consists of 4 hours of treatment 3-5 days per week, Monday-Friday.

Clients have the opportunity to choose our morning IOP from 8:30am-12:30pm, or afternoon IOP from 11:30am-3:30pm.

Clients are supported through 1-2 meals & 1 snack daily and will participate in the same individualized and comprehensive programming as PHP clients.

Clients will continue to see their Primary Therapist, Registered Dietitian and Registered Nurse weekly, as well as receive ongoing psychiatric care and medical oversight, enhancing continued success in recovery.

"My time at Willa truly changed & saved my life. I knew I was in a safe space to share what I was going through and work through what came up for me. The space is so beautiful and comfortable which made the time spent there a bit easier, as well. The Willa team advocated and cared for me as a whole individual. They were not only focused on what brought me through the door. I cannot thank the team at Willa enough for what their program has given me: more life & more freedom."
